We love to experiment with different flavours for making delicious smoothies/shakes and lollies. This one is great on hot days but don’t wait for the weather to change as it’s truly yummy.
Raw cacao is chocolate in its purest form, without sugar and other additives. It is rich in minerals and immune boosting antioxidants and does not cause the blood sugar spike of most shop-bought alternatives so is a wonderful thing to add to the store cupboard and experiment with. Bananas are a great source of potassium and soluble fibre and dates are helpful for digestive health.
This makes a fab, silky smoothie or a yummy lolly and takes seconds to blitz up and make.
- 1 banana
- 2 dates
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 150ml Koko coconut milk (or other milk)
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Blend all until well combined. Either serve as a delicious drink or as a refreshing lolly by pouring into your moulds and freezing until set.
